What Is Meditation and How We Should Do It In a Good Way.

What Is Meditation?

Meditation is a means of transforming the mind. Meditation practices are techniques that encourage and develop concentration, clarity, emotional positivity, and a calm seeing of the true nature of things. By engaging with a particular meditation practice you learn the patterns and habits of your mind, and the practice offers a means to cultivate new, more positive ways of being. With regular work and patience these nourishing, focused states of mind can deepen into profoundly peaceful and energized states of mind. Such experiences can have a transformative effect and can lead to a new understanding of life.

What happens in your brain when you meditate?
This is where things get really interesting. Using modern technology like fMRI scans, scientists have developed a more thorough understanding of what’s taking place in our brains when we meditate, kind of similar to how scientists have previously looked at measuring creativity in our brains. The overall difference is that our brains stop processing information as actively as they normally would. We start to show a decrease in beta waves, which indicate that our brains are processing information, even after a single 20-minute meditation session if we’ve never tried it before. In the image below you can see how the beta waves (shown in bright colors on the left) are dramatically reduced during meditation.

It’s better to listen it when you want to sleep or while you are studying but listening to the meditation music that has noisy effect and sounds will damage your brain and memory while reading books. If you not recommend listening it when you sleep, you might need special sitting style for listening meditation songs you can find those styles and choose the exact one for yourself. My Own Method: I usually put the meditation music when I am going to sleep and by listening to it I fall asleep.

Do You Need Headphones to Listen Meditation?
If your environment is quiet and without noise it is better to play it loud but, if you are in a place where you could hear someone’s says or noises its better to use headphones.
